The West Kyushu Shinkansen Series N700S Kamome began running in 2022 on the Nishikyushu Shinkansen. On August 7, it operated as a special one-day-only "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" wrapping train before the official opening of the West Kyushu Shinkansen.
