Tomix 98775 JR Series 300-0 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Late Type) 8 Cars Model Train Set (N scale)

The Tomix 98775 JR Series 300-0 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Late Type) 8 Cars Set (N scale) is a model train representing the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen used by JR Tokai. It was first introduced in 1992 with the "Nozomi" line expansion, and featured plug-type passenger doors. However, from the J16 formation onwards, the doors were changed to sliding type. The first versions also had three lower frame crossing pantographs with a large cover for noise suppression, but in later versions, two single-arm pantographs were installed. These changes were completed by 1997. In 1999, the model was upgraded to feature a single-arm pantograph and a design similar to the 700 series, and it remained in use until March 2012.
