Tomix 98776 JR Series 300-0 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Late Type) 8 Cars Add-on Model Train Set (N scale)

The Tomix 98776 JR Series 300-0 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Late Type) 8 Cars Add-on Set (N scale) is a meticulously designed train that reflects the modernization of the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen by JR Tokai in 1992, when the high-speed "Nozomi" service was introduced. Notably, the earlier versions of the train featured plug-type passenger doors, but with the addition of the J16 formation in 1993, these were replaced with more efficient sliding doors.
Three pantographs with a noise suppression cover were initially included, but later formations only had two units and the old formation was replaced by 1997. In 1999, it was updated to a single-arm pantograph to match the 700 series and remained in use until March 2012.
